Take part in the Cardiff Half Marathon 2018 on Sunday 7th October to help raise vital funds to improve the lives of vulnerable people in Cardiff and support the work that YMCA Cardiff does in the local community.
YMCA have 47 spaces left to fill in the marathon and are appealing for people to take part to help raise the ambitious fundraising target of £20,000. You can also donate through the Just Giving page to shown your support.
In England and Wales, YMCA intensively support 228,000 young people every year, ensuring each young person we meet has an opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive. YMCAs also provide accommodation, deliver education, offer advice, promote physical health and champion mental wellbeing for all young people.
YMCA are also asking you to encourage as many staff, friends, family and colleagues as possible to get involved – either through running, fundraising or volunteering their time on the day.
Participants can register through this link: https://goo.gl/kwozox
Volunteers are also going to be needed on the day. This will include helping us look after our marquee in the Runners Village (outside the City Hall) which we will use to enable runners and supporters to meet up; bucket collections (I need 20 helpers to walk along the spectators, collecting donations) and people to cheer the team on as they run! This could be family and friends.
If anyone is interested in volunteering get in touch with YMCA Cardiff.
