Women, girls and those who identify as women or non-binary across the UK are invited to come together on the streets of Cardiff on Sunday 10th June for PROCESSIONS, to mark 100 years since British women got the right to vote

The work is produced by Artichoke, the UK’s largest producer of art in the public realm, as part of 14-18 NOW, the UK’s official arts programme for the First World War centenary and in partnership with Wales Millennium Centre for Festival of Voice 2018. The artwork will unite and inspire women from all walks of life in a living, moving portrait of women in the UK in the 21st century and take place across capital cities in each of the nations at the same time.

Participants will be given a cotton scarf in the suffragette colours – White, Violet and Green, which will look like a river flowing through the city. It’s going to be one of the UK’s largest ever mass participation artworks, which will be held across the four UK capitals simultaneously (London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast).
