Weddings at The Great House, Bridgend

Make sure you visit The Great House in Laleston if you’re planning a wedding, a day you will remember.

The Great House is a 15th century grade II listed building which has been lovingly restored over the past few decades, retaining a wealth of its original features. This splendid house is believed to have been a gift from HRH Queen Elizabeth I to the Earl of Leicester and has, much recently, been purchased by Sanjeev Bhagotra & Elinor Roberts.

The sympathetic restoration has provided beautiful hotel accommodation in the main house and courtside suites, holds a cosy bar area filled with character and is also home to the award winning Restaurant Tommy Heaney which serves regularly changing menus focused on local seasonal ingredients in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This is probably a day you’ve planned for a long time and there’s no reason in the world why it shouldn’t be perfect, that’s why when we are building your unique wedding package we want you to choose as much or as little as you want. We are flexible on everything from the menu to the flowers, the seating arrangements to the cake, and of course, the price.

Whatever you choose from our bespoke wedding service, we will make The Great House Hotel your private residence from the time of your ceremony until breakfast the next day and you know that all our staff will be at your service to make your day as special as we possibly can.
