Launching on Saturday 1 June, Wales Millennium Centre’s brand-new Saturday Supper Clwb blends performances from the best of the UK cabaret scene with delicious Welsh cuisine to serve up the perfect Saturday night out.
The weekly Supper Clwb will be hosted in Wales Millennium Centre’s ffresh bar and kitchen, and will give guests the chance to try three small plates from the Centre’s exciting new menu. Designed for sharing, the Supper Clwb selection is created from local produce and caters to a wide range of palates: all dishes are gluten-free and half of the small plates available are vegan and vegetarian, while all chicken-based dishes are Halal.
Each cabaret night will be perfectly pitched for fun by some of Cardiff’s best-loved performers. Alun Saunders’ inimitable Connie Orff will dazzle as she presents the finest national and local drag talent, while FooFoolabelle, star of sell-out cabaret shows in the Autumn season of the Centre’s Performances for the Curious, will be hosting quirky and diverse burlesque evenings. BBC Wales’ Tourist Trap’s Leroy Brito, meanwhile, will be curating some cracking cabaret comedy, and David Mahoney, musical director of The Novello Orchestra, is ready to bring the best of musical theatre favourites and contemporary hits to the ffresh stage.
So, whet your appetite and dig out your glad rags: Supper Clwb has all the ingredients for a great night out.
Saturday Supper Clwb will launch at Wales Millennium Centre on Saturday 1 June at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £30pp and include three small plates, a dessert cocktail, a Bellini cocktail on arrival and a live cabaret performance.
