Business Services at Coleg y Cymoedd places a strong emphasis on engagement with external organisations, particularly employers, to develop partnership opportunities. The department engages with over 800 employers providing training and apprenticeships.
They are committed to meeting the needs of business, enriching the experience of learners and supporting the needs of the local community.
Supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Government, the college is able to offset up to 70% of the qualification costs, to support employers in upskilling their workforce. This ensures the courses are economically viable whilst allowing growth and development in the workplace. This also gives businesses the opportunity of accessing new markets, opening the possibility of employing more people.
The team will help your business through the process, working with you to identify staff suitable for the programme, and implementing a tailor-made training plan that will increase generic, technical and transferable skills from Level 1 to Level 7, across the workforce. Funding is available through ESF across a wide range of industry sectors at various levels as well as apprenticeship opportunities.
With a significant portfolio of professional development qualifications delivered by experienced, supportive staff, courses allow individuals to undertake mandatory training and continue their professional development, courses include, Health and Safety, First Aid, ILM, CIPD and AAT.

Through their Conferencing and Events facilities, they can support businesses and the wider community in hosting functions, courses and events across all four of our campuses, catering for up to an audience of 200 attendees. The dedicated team is committed to providing a first class service, ensuring your event runs smoothly. They provide a full range of facilities which include auditoria and conference rooms, with additional services such as catering and technical support to ensure your event is a success.
