Take the next step with NPTC Group of Colleges

Whether you are waiting to take your next step after getting your exam results, or looking for a career change and upskilling or ready to embark on a degree, we can help you at NPTC Group of Colleges.

We pride ourselves on serving our communities in which we are based and with nine campuses including Neath, Afan, Brecon Beacons and Newtown Colleges, along with Llandarcy Academy of Sport and campuses at Pontardawe, Maesteg, Swansea and Llandrindod Wells, we think we have pretty much everything covered. We have scores of courses from A Levels, vocational qualifications, apprenticeships, access and degree programmes and lots of part-time courses too.

A Levels and Vocational Courses

Our A Levels are based at Neath College A Level Sixth Form Academy which has just been newly refurbished and boasts a new hub where our students can study and relax – there’s even a Starbucks!

Our students are currently sitting their exams, many will be getting the qualifications they need to go on to study further. Students at NPTC Group of Colleges have been offered places at some of the best performing institutions in the country, including Oxford University which we feel highlights the success and dedication of students and staff across the College. Its A Level pass rate has exceeded 99% for 12 years, with 39 out of the 44 A Level subjects offered achieving a 100% pass rate. These outstanding results have enabled students to access a range of competitive Oxbridge University places and access a range of skilled employment opportunities.

Last year, 100 per cent of the students who followed the Gifted and Talented programme at NPTC Group’s A Level Sixth Form Academy gained A* to B grades and 94 per cent of those students achieved an A* or A grade.

In addition, a record 70 students achieved an excellent outcome of triple distinction grades in the National/Extended Diploma qualifications, with a further 13 students achieving the highest possible grade profile of D*, D*, D*.

Apprenticeships

Of course, we realise A Levels are not for everyone and we provide dozens of vocational programmes where students can get the skills and qualifications to follow a career path or go onto university. We also offer apprenticeships for those who want to earn while they learn. This work-based learning could be exactly what you are looking for as there are programmes to suit everyone!

Access and Degree Programmes

Did you know we also run access courses for those looking to go into employment or on to study for a full degree – which we also offer? We have just launched new courses to start in September 2018.

Our access and degree courses are perfect in more ways than one. We have developed a number of wide-ranging degree programmes in partnership with a range of prestigious Higher Education Institutions and we strive to give our graduates the best experience and knowledge to equip them for the working world.

Also on the plus side – you won’t need to move away from home to study, making it easier to fit in with your work and family life. You’ll have less travel costs too! We offer flexible learning with our Higher Education programmes which often have full-time and part-time routes. We try to organise the timetable so you can still work or carry out family commitments whilst you are studying. We know this route can help accelerate your earning potential. Gaining a higher level qualification can give you the edge when looking for career and promotional opportunities. You gain higher level employability and industry specific skills.

Part-Time Learning

You may just be looking to get back into education, pick up a few more skills or gain qualifications to land that perfect job – again we can help you with a wide range of adult learning programmes on offer.

You can be assured that NPTC Group of Colleges is the place to be – whether you are looking at full- or part-time study, upskilling, getting an apprenticeship or embarking on a degree.
