Sunset shades: Here’s how to channel that golden glow at home this season

There’s a wave of burnt oranges, dusty pinks and moody blues on the homeware horizon. Sam Wylie-Harris reveals her top picks.

There are sunsets and there are sunsets. Whether it’s the sun in flames and a ball of fire sinking into a mussel-blue ocean, or a rainbow or pinks, purples and mauves, the spectrum of colour can steer us in many ways.

And if the murky weather’s getting you down right now and summer seems a distant memory as the longer, darker nights set in, how about reinterpreting those sunset shades and channelling the trend for clashing home hues instead?

Colour choices such as swatches of flamingo pink velvet, geometric prints, fun brights, holiday themed knick-knacks and gilt-edged decos you might come across in a luxe resort – these are all making their mark in homeware right now.

Whatever your interior style, you can always blend some sun-bleached beige, leafy greenery and a few tranquil shades to make it work for you. Checkout these sunset saviours for the home…
