Starting off with a selection of family friendly events this half term, St Donats will be hosting a fantastic indoor picnic with a screening of Paddington the movie on Thursday 22nd February. There will also be a ‘Birds of Prey Flying Demonstration’ by Wings of Wales on Friday 23rd February.
St Donats Castle opens its doors once again for its annual ‘Mothering Sunday Afternoon Tea’ on Sunday 11th March at 2.30pm, this year dining in both the Bradenstoke Hall and medieval Dining Hall. Enjoy a delicious selection of finger sandwiches and cakes before touring the castle and its beautiful Tudor gardens.
Spring sees a mix of concerts taking place at St Donats Arts Centre, including The Goat Ropers ft Lee Southall (ex of the Coral) on 10th March and Fred’s House on 19th May.
Returning again is ‘The Marrakesh Express Tribute Concert’ on 27th April but book tickets quick; the concert is almost sold out!
Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show returning for its 4th year complete with cannons, a wall of Marshalls’ and over two hours of High Voltage Rock ‘n’ Roll on 15th June.
The students of UWC Atlantic College also take to the stage for the monthly café concerts on the 20th March and 17th April, performing a range of classical pieces from around the world. An ideal opportunity to listen to these talented students in the beautiful surroundings of the Arts Centre.
This Easter holiday, Atlantic Outdoors, their fully licensed and accredited Outdoor Activity department are running non-residential multi-activity days for children aged 8 to 16. Children will be instructed and supervised by their experienced staff and be encouraged to develop their teamwork skills, communication and personal confidence through activities such as climbing, high ropes, and orienteering as well as more conventional team and individual sports such as badminton, basketball and indoor hockey using
Atlantic College’s newly completed Sports Hall. Bookings are now being taken for 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th April.
