Neath Comedy Festival 2019

Neath Comedy Festival returns for 2019 with even more side-splitting comedy throughout June in a variety of venues. Here’s a few of our highlight that’s are the hot tickets of the festival.

1st June
Gwyn Hall, Neath
Arthur Smith opens the Neath Comedy Festival

The opening night of the Neath Comedy Festival 2019 is headlined by the Godfather of British alternative comedy, the multi-award winning comedian, actor, author, broadcaster and playwright Arthur Smith. See the full programme online.

6th June
Andrew O’Neill & Harriet Dyer
Gwyn Hall, Neath

Andrew O’Neill and Harriet Dyer bring their Edinburgh Fringe shows to Neath Comedy Festival.

8th June
Jeff Jaspers
Neath Cricket Club

Jeff Japers is an act that lives long in the memory long after seeing one of his shows. Comedy songs accompanied by a foot triggered slideshow and a stuffed sheep resulting in an entertaining performance of side-splitting daftness.

15th June
Barbara Nice: Raffle!
Miner’s Welfare, Neath

Barbara Nice is an ordinary housewife, mother of five, keen ‘Take A Break’ reader and occasional stage-diver! She has given up the domestic bliss of Tupperware and Poundstretcher shops for the unpredictability of the comedy circuit (her husband thinks she’s at the bingo).

This critically acclaimed tip-top comedy character is the creation of hugely talented writer, performer and comedian Janice Connolly.

29th June
Neath Comedy Festival Finale with Paul ‘Sinnerman’ Sinha
Gwyn Hall, Neath

Better known by many as the ‘Sinnerman’ from ITV’s The Chase, Paul Sinha is a qualified GP and international stand up comic of many years standing. Sinha is as side-splittingly funny as he is deadly in the prime time TV quiz show.

Recently back from an international touring show after yet another sell out and highly acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run, Sinha headlines a special night at the finale of the 10th Neath Comedy Festival
