Bridgend Festival of Light returns this February with the theme “Our Natural World”.
Newbridge Fields will come alive with a celebration of beautiful bugs, beasts and blooms to welcome in the Springtime and the lengthening of the days. This enchanting family event is completely free and includes a spectacular fire show from Organised Kaos Youth Circus and a captivating lantern lit procession led by a dynamic Samba band.
There will be workshops and hot food available in the afternoon from 2.30pm on Friday February 21st at the starting point near the Athletic Club on Park Court Road. The parade kicks off at 5.15pm and will make its way to the stone circle for the spectacular fire finale.
The whole community is invited to get involved with a series of free workshops at Carnegie House in the lead up to the big day. Try your hand at Circus skills or join the Samba band and play in the parade with workshops running throughout January and February. Don’t miss the opportunity to make your very own special lantern to carry in the procession with daily workshops throughout February half-term.
Don’t miss out on the fun on February 21st!
