THREE MAGICAL BALLETS
St David’s Hall, Cardiff

Pirouette into the festive season with a classic ballet performed by the world famous Russian State Ballet of Siberia. St David’s Hall is hosting three very special ballets all sprinkled with magical special effects. Coppélia is a charming comedy with lively choreography and colourful costumes. You’ll travel to a fairytale world in The Nutcracker, where toy dolls come to life at the stroke of midnight every Christmas Eve. Les Misérables
Wales Millennium Centre

After nearly a decade since the last sell-out UK tour, Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed Broadway production of Boublil and Schönberg’s musical Les Misérables is about to return to Cardiff. This brilliant new staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed “Les Mis for the 21st Century”. With scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, the magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs, I Dreamed A Dream, On My Own, Bring Him Home, One Day More, Master Of The House, and many more. Christmas Weekends
St Fagans National Museum of History

There’s a festive pick and mix at St Fagans every weekend in December. You can shop for unique gifts at the makers markets and the kids will have lots of fun on the fairground. A group of unlikely heroes find themselves in an enchanted misadventure with Grandma Red; a raucous old lady on a spirited mission to bring back forgotten stories. Nativity! The Musical

Every child wants to star in the Nativity and at St Bernadette’s School they’re attempting to mount a musical version! The only trouble is that teacher Mr Maddens has promised that a Hollywood producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film. Feel-good, funny and full of joy, this cracker of a musical was adapted for the stage by Debbie Isitt, the creator of the much-loved films.
